Microsoft has released an updated Explorer, a couple of new emoji and other improvements

Microsoft has released a fresh test build of Windows 11 (23475) with which an updated Explorer is available to users. It can be already evaluated by the participants of the Windows Insider program on the Dev channel.

In the new version of the file manager developers have redesigned the main page, which now shows recently used files, favorite documents and recommendations (what can be useful right now).

In addition, the address bar and the search window have been changed: now, when you search for something, the system automatically recognizes local and cloud folders. For OneDrive users, synchronization status with the service will be displayed.

Along with the new Explorer, Microsoft has added the “Dynamic Lighting” feature to the fresh build. It allows you to adjust the backlighting in Razer, ASUS and other accessories compatible with the HID LampArray standard in the standard system settings.

Other changes to the system include support for new emoji, a number of fixes to the taskbar, and a new design of game and movie cards in the Microsoft Store.

When exactly the update will be available to all Windows 11 users, the developers do not specify. Most likely these changes will be part of a major update for Windows 11
