Microsoft will add the ability to pin widgets to the desktop in Windows 11

Microsoft plans to add the ability to pin widgets to the desktop in Windows 11. Now they are only available in a separate tab.

It is assumed that users will be able to place widgets anywhere on the home screen of the device without any restrictions. Similar to the “Gadgets” in Windows 7. The company expects that this feature will increase the popularity of the OS.

However, for now, this option isn’t even in the pre-test builds of Windows 11 and insiders can’t say when it will start appearing to users. They don’t rule out that the company will talk in detail about advanced widget support at its Build 2023 conference, which will take place May 23-25.
